An exciting direct placement opportunity with a top-notch government contractor. The Program Planner III is responsible for logistics compliance, import compliance, hazardous materials compliance, expediting and problem resolution, and government property administration.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Logistics Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations involved in Transportation Logistics such as ITAR. Ensure Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA) are in place to support contract compliance. Generate and obtain approval of Department of State Export Licenses in support of contract requirements. Modify and renew agreements and licenses as required to support changes in contract requirements or periods of performance. Maintain records to insure values of licenses and agreements are not exceeded. Obtain delivery confirmations.
* Import Compliance: Ensure BATF licensing in place to support contract import requirements. Generate and modify/renew licenses as required by contract requirements. Maintain records to ensure license values are not exceeded. Maintain BATF log of all company imported items until responsibility is transferred or product expended. Create proper documentation to insure customs clearance of imported products.
* Hazardous Materials: Ensure compliance with CFR 49 and international regulations relating to the safe shipment of hazardous materials.
* Expediting and Problem Resolution: Develop relationships and assets to support problem resolution. Identify potential problems, provide resolution, and institute preventive measures to prevent recurrence. Develop processes and procedures to insure all compliance requirements being met.
* Government Property Administration: Maintain control of Government Owned Assets in compliance with FAR, DFAR, and company policies and procedures. Maintain traceability and accountability of all Government Property under company control at multiple sites. Conduct root cause analysis of any discrepancies and establish corrective action to prevent recurrence.
Requirements:
* Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience and responsibility.
* Ten or more years of experience in planning, transportation logistics, import/export of hazardous material, and asset management.
* Strong analytical skills using computer tools and systems such as MS Project, Excel, transactional Inventory Management software or other analytical tools.
* Familiarity with regulations and requirements for supporting domestic and international import/export shipments including hazardous materials.
* Department of Defense (DOD) and asset management experience highly preferred.
