An exciting direct placement opportunity with a top-notch government contractor. The Program Planner II is responsible for program execution, logistics coordination, proposal coordination, expense tracking, and customer interfacing.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Track program expenditures against budget, review and evaluate cost baselines, assist in the preparation of monthly program estimates, and perform CAM duties for EVM support.
* Evaluate and assist in statusing program schedules from MS Project working with the program managers and subcontracts administrators to assure on time execution.
* Regular interface with all members of the integrated product team (IPT) to assure deliveries are in accordance with customer requirements.
* Travel to and interface with customer and/or suppliers as required.
* Prepare and monitor all material requirements planning, material requisitions, work orders, receipts, and issues for program.
* Maintain control, traceability, and accountability of company and government owned assets in compliance with MMAS, FAR, DFAR, and company policies and procedures.
* Logistics Coordination: Ensure coordination and on-time completion of all domestic and international logistics requirements between material suppliers and logistics providers. Ensure all Contract, Dept. of State, ITAR, and BATF, and domestic regulatory requirements met to support shipping. Ensure verification of deliveries received in a timely manner for each shipment.
* Proposal Coordination: Coordination of proposal activities to include development of scopes of work, review of supplier quotations, preparation of Basis of Estimate (BOE). Assist in pricing strategy and review of final proposals for completeness & accuracy. Assist in the preparation of internal and external program briefings. Ensure proposal due dates are met.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience and responsibility.
* 5 or more years of experience in planning, transportation logistics, and/or scheduling.
* Strong analytical skills using computer tools and systems such as MRP, MRPII, ERP, MS Project, Excel or similar planning/scheduling software.
* Familiar with regulations and requirements for supporting domestic and international shipments including hazardous materials.
* Department of Defense (DOD) and manufacturing related experience is highly preferred.
