Job Description
Responsible for DME billing and customer service support
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with referral sources, physicians and patients
-Durable medical billing experience
-Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations for DME billing
-Knowledge of DME products and services
-Current with reimbursement guidelines, eligibility of coverage and insurance verification processes
-Proficient in DME billing software programs
Other responsibilities:
-Knowledge of HCPC codes
-Maintains HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
-Follows all Medicare and private insurance regulations
-Working knowledge of DMERC CMN processes
-Understanding of billing practices regarding prescription requirements necessary to meet professional standards, accrediting standards, and all federal, state and local laws and regulations for delivery of equipment, services and submission of claims
-Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Department Supervisor
Requirements:
-High school diploma or GED equivalent
-2 years DME billing experience
-Strong problem solving skills
-Proficient in MS Word, Excel
