Job Description
Medical language specialist who interprets and transcribes medical dictation by physicians and other healthcare professionals in order to document patient care and facilitate delivery of healthcare services providing the highest quality transcription in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
Other duties may be assigned.
A. Transcribe inpatient and outpatient medical dictation using all hardware and software application in the transcription/HIM department.
B. Meet accuracy standards of the QA policy and achieve production level specified in the Production policy.
C.Assist physicians care givers co-workers and all other customers in a timely professional manner.
D. Assist with training of new employees as needed
E. Assist in HIM Tech duties when HIM tech in the transcription area is absent. 6. Meet departmental competencies.
F. Meet departmental compliance plan.
